How do I create an SGZ Chat account?
Creating an account is completely free. Visit sgzchat.com and click Sign Up Free. Fill in your name, email, gender, date of birth and choose a password. You must be 18 years or older to register. Once done, you'll receive +500 Coins as a sign-up reward automatically.
What is the minimum age to join SGZ Chat?
SGZ Chat is strictly for members aged 18 years and above. Anyone found to be under 18 will have their account permanently suspended without refund of any purchased coins. Always use your real date of birth during registration.
I forgot my password — how do I reset it?
On the login page, click Forgot Password? and enter the email address linked to your account. A reset link will be sent to your email. Click that link, enter a new password, and you're back in. If you no longer have access to the email, contact support.
Do I need to use a real photo?
Yes. SGZ Chat is a real social platform — fake photos, cartoons, celebrities or logos as profile pictures are not allowed. Accounts with fake photos may be flagged and suspended. Using your real photo also boosts your credibility and matchmaking compatibility score.
How do I update my profile?
Go to My Profile → Edit Profile. You can update your display name, bio, location, relationship status, interests and profile photo. Completing your profile fully earns you bonus SGZ Coins and improves your matchmaking score significantly.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, messages, coins, posts and all data. This action cannot be undone. If you just need a break, consider deactivating instead or setting your profile to private.
Can I change my email address?
Email changes are handled by support for security reasons. Contact the SGZ Chat team with your current email and new email address. We will verify your identity before processing the change.
My account was suspended — what do I do?
Account suspensions happen when our community guidelines are violated — fake photos, spam, harassment, underage use or fraudulent activity. If you believe the suspension was a mistake, contact support with your registered email. Provide a clear explanation and we'll review your case within 48 hours.

How do I buy SGZ Coins with real money?
Go to My Wallet and choose a coin bundle. Payment is processed securely via our payment gateway — you can pay with a debit card, bank transfer or USSD. Coins are credited to your account immediately after payment is confirmed.
Can I get a refund on purchased coins?
SGZ Coins are non-refundable once purchased and used. However, if you were charged but coins were not credited, contact support within 24 hours with your payment receipt and we will resolve it. Unused coins on a deleted account are forfeited.
How do I collect my daily login coins?
Simply log in every day. You automatically receive +10 Coins each day you log in. The counter resets at midnight. Consecutive logins do not currently multiply the reward — every login gives exactly 10 coins.
How does the referral reward work?
Share your unique referral link with friends. When a friend clicks your link and successfully creates an account, you earn +50 Coins automatically. There is no limit — refer as many friends as you like and keep earning. Find your referral link in Profile → Invite Friends.
What is the CEO reward and how do I get it?
The CEO randomly selects active members and awards them +1,000 Coins as a surprise bonus. There is no guaranteed way to receive it — it is based on activity, positive presence on the platform and the CEO's discretion. Stay active, be real and you might be next!

How do I connect with people on SGZ Chat?
Go to Connect in the main menu. Browse members, filter by gender or online status, and search by name. Click the Connect button on any profile to send a connection request — this costs −100 Coins. Once accepted, you can message each other freely.
How do I get the Verified Badge ✓?
The blue Verified Badge costs −1,000 Coins. Go to Home → Get Verified and click purchase. The ✓ badge will then appear next to your name across all of SGZ Chat — profiles, chats, posts, search results and the leaderboard. It shows other members that you are a real, trusted user.
How do SGZ Games work?
Go to SGZ Games from the main menu. Entering a game session costs −1,000 Coins. Win the game and you earn +100 Coins as a reward. New games are added regularly. SGZ Games are mobile-friendly mini-games built right into the platform — no downloads needed.
What is SGZ Radio and how do I use it?
SGZ Radio streams music, SGZ originals and advertisement jingles 24/7 — completely free to listen. The mini player in the corner of the site lets you listen while browsing. You can also upload your own tracks and earn +5 Coins per upload. No subscription or download required.
How do I post photos to the SGZ feed?
Go to Home → New Post, tap the photo icon, choose your image and add a caption. Click Post. Your photo appears on the social feed where connections can like and comment. Each post you upload earns you +5 Coins. The feed loads 10 posts at a time to keep data usage low.
How does the SGZ Leaderboard work?
The Leaderboard ranks members by connections, coins and posts. It resets periodically. Climbing the leaderboard gives you community recognition and increases your profile visibility. Verified members also appear with their ✓ badge on the leaderboard.
How do notifications work?
SGZ Chat sends real-time notifications for new messages, connection requests, post likes, comments and news updates. The notification badge on the nav bar updates automatically without you needing to refresh the page. Go to Notifications to view and manage all your alerts.
Where do I find SGZ Jokes?
SGZ Jokes is a growing collection of community-submitted funny jokes. Open it from the navigation bar. Read, enjoy and share them with your connections. It's a fun break from scrolling — new jokes are added regularly.
Can I message anyone or only connections?
You can only send private messages to members you are connected with. To message someone new, send them a connection request first (costs 100 Coins). Once they accept, messaging is completely free and unlimited between you both.
Is there an AI feature on SGZ Chat?
Yes! SGZ Chat has a built-in Chat with AI feature. You can ask it questions, get advice, have fun conversations or just explore. Access it from the main menu. It's free to use and available 24/7.
Matchmaking
How does Smart Matchmaking work?
Our Smart Matching engine scores every member on the platform against your profile using factors like: language, location, age, relationship status and shared interests. Members are shown with a compatibility percentage — the higher the score, the better the match. Accessing Smart Matching costs −1,000 Coins.
How do I improve my compatibility score?
Complete your profile as fully as possible — add your location, language, interests, relationship status and a real profile photo. The more information you provide, the more accurately the engine can find people compatible with you. A fully completed profile also earns you bonus coins.
Does SGZ Chat match people by location?
Location is one of several factors in the matching algorithm but it is not the only one. You can match with people from different cities or states — what matters most is your combined compatibility score across all factors. SGZ Chat is open to members across Nigeria and beyond.
Can I use SGZ Chat just to make friends (not dating)?
Absolutely. SGZ Chat is a social platform — not exclusively a dating app. Many members use it purely to make friends, network, enjoy the entertainment features (radio, games, jokes) or to buy and sell in ZIZA Market. Matchmaking is optional and only accessed if you choose to.
Can I hide myself from matchmaking results?
Yes. Setting your profile to Private (costs 1,000 Coins) hides you from non-connections across the platform, including matchmaking results. You can also adjust your profile visibility settings from Settings → Privacy.
Privacy & Safety
How do I make my profile private?
Go to Wallet → Buy Private Profile for −1,000 Coins. Once activated, only your accepted connections can view your full profile. Non-connections will see a locked profile card. This also hides you from searches, matchmaking and the Connect browse page.
How do I block another member?
Open the member's profile and tap the ⋯ More Options → Block Member button. Once blocked, they cannot message you, view your profile or send connection requests. Blocking is immediate and free. You can unblock at any time from Settings → Blocked Members.
How do I report a member or inappropriate content?
On any profile or post, tap ⋯ More → Report. Choose the reason (harassment, fake profile, inappropriate content, spam etc.) and submit. All reports are reviewed by the SGZ Chat team. Serious violations result in immediate suspension. Your identity as the reporter is kept confidential.
Does SGZ Chat sell my personal data?
No. SGZ Chat does not sell your personal data to third parties. Your data is used solely to operate and improve the SGZ Chat platform. Read our full Privacy Policy for complete details on how your data is stored, used and protected.
Who can see my profile and posts?
By default your profile is public — all registered SGZ Chat members can view it. Your posts appear on the social feed visible to your connections. To restrict this, activate a Private Profile (1,000 Coins) which limits visibility to your accepted connections only.
Is SGZ Chat safe to use?
SGZ Chat is built with safety in mind. We use secure HTTPS connections, encrypted passwords and active moderation. Suspicious accounts are reviewed and suspended. Use the block and report tools if you encounter any behaviour that makes you uncomfortable. Never share your password or financial details with other members.
ZIZA Market
What is ZIZA Market?
ZIZA Market is SGZ Chat's built-in buy-and-sell marketplace. Members can list products, services and adverts for free. Buyers can browse listings and contact sellers directly. Boost your listing to the top of results by promoting it with −300 Coins for maximum visibility.
How do I list a product in ZIZA Market?
Go to ZIZA Market → Add Listing. Fill in your product name, description, price, category and add a photo. Click Submit. Your listing goes live immediately and is visible to all SGZ Chat members. Basic listing is completely free.
How do I promote my listing in ZIZA Market?
Open your listing and click Promote Listing. This costs −300 Coins and moves your listing to the top of its category for increased visibility. Promoted listings get significantly more views and enquiries.
Does SGZ Chat take a commission on sales?
No. SGZ Chat does not process payments between buyers and sellers, so we take zero commission. All transactions happen directly between the buyer and seller outside of SGZ Chat. We simply provide the marketplace to connect them. Always trade safely and verify buyers/sellers before sending money.
What items are not allowed in ZIZA Market?
The following are strictly prohibited:
  • Illegal goods or substances
  • Counterfeit or fake products
  • Adult / explicit content
  • Weapons or dangerous items
  • Fraudulent services or scam listings
  • Stolen goods
Violations result in immediate removal of the listing and suspension of the account. Report any suspicious listing using the Report Listing button.

Is there an SGZ Chat mobile app?
SGZ Chat is a fully mobile-optimised web app — it works perfectly in your phone's browser without needing a download. Simply open sgzchat.com in Chrome, Safari or any browser on your phone. For the best experience, add it to your home screen: in Chrome tap ⋯ → Add to Home Screen.
How much data does SGZ Chat use?
SGZ Chat is engineered for very low data consumption — kilobyte-level usage. Pages load fast and light even on 2G/3G connections. The social feed loads in batches of 10 posts to minimise data use. This makes SGZ Chat affordable and fast for everyone in Nigeria and across Africa.
Why is the page not loading or showing an error?
Try these steps:
  • Hard refresh the page — press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac)
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Try a different browser (Chrome recommended)
  • Check your internet connection
  • Disable any VPN or ad-blocker that might be interfering
If the problem persists, contact support with a screenshot of the error.
What photo formats and sizes can I upload?
Supported formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP. Maximum file size is 5MB per image. For best results use a square image for your profile photo (at least 300×300px). Uploading a clear, well-lit photo of your real face gives the best impression to other members.
What version of SGZ Chat is currently live?
The current live version is Version 7.0, released in 2026. SGZ Chat is continuously updated with new features, bug fixes and improvements. Major updates are announced in the News & Updates section of the platform.
Community & Safety
What are the SGZ Chat community rules?
Key community rules:
  • Must be 18 years or older to use the platform
  • Use your real name and photo — no fake identities
  • No harassment, bullying or hate speech
  • No explicit or adult content
  • No spam or unsolicited commercial messages
  • No scamming or fraudulent activity
  • Respect other members at all times

Someone is harassing me — what do I do?
  • Block the person immediately from their profile
  • Report the account — choose "Harassment" as the reason
  • Save screenshots of any offensive messages as evidence
  • Contact SGZ Chat support directly if the situation is serious
All harassment reports are taken seriously and investigated promptly. You are never alone on SGZ Chat.
How do I spot and avoid scammers on SGZ Chat?
Common signs of a scammer:
  • Asks for money, airtime or gift cards quickly
  • Uses a celebrity or model photo as their profile picture
  • Claims to be abroad and in trouble
  • Rushes to move the conversation off SGZ Chat
  • Makes unrealistic promises about investment or returns
Never send money to someone you have not met in person. Report and block immediately if you suspect a scam.
What happens if I break the community rules?
Depending on the severity of the violation:
  • Warning — a formal warning is issued for minor first offences
  • Temporary suspension — account access restricted for a set period
  • Permanent ban — account permanently removed with no reinstatement
Serious offences (fraud, explicit content, harassment, underage use) result in an immediate permanent ban. Purchased coins on banned accounts are forfeited.
